I got dotty!

Products Used: The image is a digi called Flopsy from Crafty Sentiments Digital Designs, the Sentiment is a digi from Create with TLC, Paper comes from Pressed Petals Dogs and Cats collection and Mocha collection, the bow is from a girl's pack by Recollections, the button paper clip is also by Recollections, I colored Flopsy with a set of colored pencils and made the green sparkle crystal swirl with acetate and puffy paint. The edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress inks in Broken china and Antique linen. The edges were frayed used my x-acto blade.

I took a close up of the swirls since the above picture doesn't show the sparkles very well. You can also see all the glitter in the dots on the stitched paper.

I really liked the way this card turned out. I followed a sketch for the overall design though I changed around some elements. I also was only allowed to use two embellies for a challenge going on over at Crafty Sentiment Digital Design's blog. How TOUGH!

This card is entered in the following challenges:
Party Time Tuesday - Anything goes (SIMPLE!)
Sketch and Stash - Jill's sketch + new item (my new item is the paper - just picked it up yesterday!! Wahoo)
Fab and Funky - buttons and bows (button on the paper clip and bow on Flopsy's ear)
Simon Says Stamp! - Dotty (on my new paper)
Crafty Sentiment Digital Designs - 2 embellies (plus entered twice if use one of their stamps - yay for adorable Flopsy)
Paper Play Challenges - Anything (Well that's easy - plus you can enter twice with two different creations!)

Hope you enjoyed!! Now I have another birthday card for my birthday tab!! Yay!! It's really filling up :)

First Christmas card done!

I'm a little rushed posting this tonight as I have a VERY early morning and a LONG day of moving furniture :)

This card was inspired by a card I LOVED on Bev's blog - I love everything she does, and I just HAD to give this card a shot... jump over and look at her blog HERE. I changed the style up a little to accommodate for what I had in my stash.

I will be entering this into the Totally Papercrafts challenge this week which was a recipe: 1 image, 1 ribbon, 2 papers, 3 embellies :)

**SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!**
Craft Your Days Away - an AMAZING blog - is having a blog candy!!
They have three prizes for three lucky winners - go check them out :)

I'm in a COLORFUL mood today, which explains all the colored font hehee :) I followed a sketch from the Creative Card Crew blog... oooo it was a good one!

And here is my take on it!

Products Used: Papers are from the Bella Bella collection by Carina Gardner, Sentiment is a sticker from a swatch of sentiments by Marcella by K, The image is a digi called "At the moon" which I don't remember who from :( , The butterflies and flowers are from the EcoModern collection by K & Company, and I finished the look with mounting squares.

There are SO many fun challenges this week!! I can't believe how many I am excited to create for!!
I made this card to b a "miss you" card, who knows who will be the lucky person to receive it, but I know there will be a TON of people to miss once August comes and I make my way 6 hours south of "home".

I didn't have any ribbon that I felt went perfect with this card, so I made my own! I even cut the cute little "holes" into it to make it look like a belt buckle! I added the stitching to give it a more "ribbon" look.

Here's a close up:
Challenges Entered:
1. Crafty Sentiment Digital Designs - Color scheme: Brown, Green, Yellow
2. Cupcake Craft - "cats and dogs"
3. Creative Card Crew - sketch
4. Stamp and Create - "Stitching" (one entry per week till Aug. 2nd)

YAY for digi's!!!

Products Used: Fairy Doodle stamp, SNF Confidence quote digi, Martha Stewart star edge punch, flowers were in my stash and I added the pearls by Recollections, Tim Holtz distress inks in: Walnut Stain, Broken china, antique linen, and tea dye, and the paper is from a black and white collection by Making Memories I bought a year ago.

This was my FIRST attempt at painting an image with distress inks. I really am pleased with the "edgy messy" look it makes. I feel like this painting technique really adds character to this card. I am just LOVING it :) I'm very pleased.

I made this card to go into the "inspirational" section of my card box. I really want to make more. I found the digi quote through the free digi blog which links you to all sorts of blogs that are posting free digis!! I got a whole set of them collecting in a file on my computer. I figure with graduate school coming up these next two years there will be PLE NTY of opportunities to give the girls and maybe even a professor or two a little pick me up before a very stressful exam or during just a tuff week. :) I'm so excited to get a collection of these cards made up!!

I am entering this into the following challenges:
1. Stamp Something - use a digi! (how easy is that, yay!)
2. Some Odd Girl - Spots, Stripes, and BIG TITLE (idk if my "YOU'RE RIGHT" counts or not... but it's big for me in terms of what I normally put on a card.. idk)
3. Just Magnolia - Bev's sketch (unfortunately I followed the sketch but I don't own any Magnolia stamps - Christmas gift idea to my family!! But I'll include it here anyway since I LOVED LOVED LOVED this sketch!!)

PARTY ON!

Products Used: Sentiment is by Colorbok - paper crush edition, Flower made from pieces in the Paper whimsies packet by sassafras, Brads used: Recollections Metallic Mini Flowers and Bright Mini Circles (pink). The papers are all in my stash as scraps and the picture is just from a cartoon website (copyright is printed on image).

I made this card for a my "Birthday" tab in the card box I have been trying to fill up. I am ALWAYS in need of birthday cards so I know that It will help to have a LOT in this tab... if I can keep them stocked (hahahaha).

I will be entering this card into two challenges this week:
1. Design Dollies - Cartoon inspiration (love pink panther!!)
2, Charisma Cardz Challenges - PINK! (think I covered that one! hahaha

Thanks for checking this card out... I REALLY like it!! Though... I may be biased :)

Home Tweet Home

Products Used: Basicgrey Offbeat collection pack, The digital stamp was a freebie I downloaded and the only information I have is 'LDS' - so no real clue where it comes from, the Gringham paper is made by Martine McKnight, and the sentiment was typed in word and printed.

I made this card for my future roomie... she is so excited (as am I) to be moving to VA this coming August. As we get ready to move into our first apartment together we are trying to think of EVERYTHING we may need... without us buying double. Basically we are talking A LOT! hahaha

Here is a close up image of the sentiment I printed. I love this paper! The little poka-dots that are embossed make it so adorable. I bought this paper in many colors from my local craft store. I also added stictching around the stripes I made from my FAVORITE basicgrey line (the offbeat collection pack) and around the sentiment.

Challenges Entered:
Charisma Cards... "Watch the birdie" - My Sentiment, stamp, and the one Basicgrey paper stripe
Friday Sketches... Sketch by Jacque
Basicgrey Challenges... Use of Gringham - You can find the free download and MANY more HERE.
Stamp and Create.com... "Stitching" - Enter up to one a week throughout the entire month!

This card will be placed in the "Friendship" tab of my new box! Which tab will receive a card next...!?!?

We all just wanna be BIG rock stars!

Products Used: Deja Views Wonderful Words in Cheers, Recollections Dimensional stickers, Nicole Cardstock in Naturals and Precious Metals, DCWV Rock Star Collection 8x8 papers, Prima Marketing Rock on Love 5x7 papers, Making memories shaped gem brads. The "happy birthday!" was in my stash, the images I printed from online.

This card was made for my one big brother, he is a "rock star" in his own head. I thought "what better way then to use up some of my "rock n roll" stash!?" And better yet... a challenge over at Design Dollies is all about using your favorite song lyrics as inspiration!

Another challenge - over at Party Time Tuesdays - is all about making a birthday card with a decorated inside! Wow... I have NEVER decorated the inside as well, so I gave it a shot!

It worked out so well with the lyrics: "Hey, Hey I wanna be a" on the front of the card - and "rock star!" on the inside. Plus I lined it with more paper from the "Rock on Love" collection (which I just ADORE). I added the guitar - which resembles my brother's fairly well - with some mounted squares for more dimension.

Well... off to write a small sentiment inside, and then to the mail box for the AM carrier to take away! hehehe... I just LOVE sending cards :)

Sports Fanatic

Products Used: The paper is just ordinary card stock in yellow/orange, The squares were created from images found online and the making memories Autumn Splendor in Foil.

This card is headed off to my brother who is a HUGE sports fanatic for his birthday tomorrow - yes it's running late (*shhhh*).

I followed the sketch at Papercraft star - though as usual my interpretation is semi far from the original. I also will enter is into the Cupcake Craft Challenge number 98 which just so happens to be a SPORTS theme!! yay!

Hippity Hop Flopsy Style

Products Used: Making memories shaped gem brads, We R Memory Keepers White Out Collection in "Frenzy", Pilot G-2 gel pen in black, Nicole Card Stock in Teal, and the digital stamp is "Flopsy with ice cream cone" by Crafty Sentiments.

This card was done for the Crafty Sentiments Challenge which was a sketch! Ugh... I'm never that good at sketches, but I like the way this card turned out. I added the cute little newspaper page about the Nutcracker being danced to hip hop music because of the bunny of the page. It may seem cheesy... but I got a little giggle out of it. This was done to enter the Magnolia Down Under Challenge of using newspaper in your creation! Never done that before! :)

The "Flopsy" stamp I used also came from Crafty Sentiments, and better yet it's a Freebie!! Check it out here.

This card is also entered into the Simon Says Challenge which is a photo inspiration this week. They posted a GORGEOUS picture of a blue drink that just inspired all this bright blue in my card!! I even colored the ice cream cone Flopsy is holding the brightest blue I could. The small paper used to hold my journaling even has bright blue stripes!! Love Love LOVE this color so much - it just fits the "summer time" feel.

Lastly, but certainly not least... I entered this card into the Charisma Cardz Challenge! This is my first challenge with them and I am super excited to continue following this new blog :)

The challenge was to add some type of medal to your creation... and what better way then to use some of these new brads I got!? They are ultra sparkly - Which I absolutely LOVE! I tried to give a close up of the sun shaped brad.. picture is a little blurry though!

Well that is all for now!! Off to send this little guy to a friend who is in much need of a small pick me up.

Hope your holiday was Scrumptious!

Just a quick post before I run off for the day! I feel so behind in my scrap booking and cards! It's been a VERY busy holiday weekend as well as week - getting ready for the big move to VA! wahoo!

This is a simple card following the sketch over at Friday Sketches! The paper was picked to follow a "checks" theme over at the awesome Simon Says Stamp! Challenge blog. And the "Stitching" was done to enter the Stamp and Create July Challenge.

Hopefully I'll be posting soon with some LOs! :)

Brother's Birthday Card

Products Used: Tim Holtz distress ink in walnut stain, and Hampton Art stamp-Happy Birthday Arrow. The rest of the card is made from scrap papers, a permanent marker to draw the lines, a pair of scissors to distress edges, and I printed the car and the '#1' on card stock.

This card is for my baby brother's birthday in a week. He is going to be 13! So I guess he isn't really a "baby" brother anymore. I am entering this card into the "oh boy!" challenge over at Papercraft Planet! blog. Design Dollies blog also has an Elementary Tuesday Challenge to use ribbons in creative ways. Since he's my #1 brother, I added the first place ribbon along with the race car theme.
